After spending years establishing themselves, Puerto Rican reggaeton duo Jowell Y Randy have released their first studio album entitled Los Mas Sueltos Del Reggaeton.
Jowell (Joel A. Muñoz Martinez) y Randy (Randy A. Ortiz Acevedo) first met in 2000 through a shared producer who introduced them. The duo recorded their first song “Todavia Recuerdo” in 2002 and since then has gained nobility by being included on compilations alongside Mackie Ranks, Ivy Queen, Tego Calderéon, 3-2 Get Funky, Alberto Stylee and Bebe, among others. Their track “Siguelo Bailando Solita” from El Draft 2005: La Nueva Generación del Reggaeton paired the duo reggaeton superstars like Don Omar, Daddy Yankee, and Bimbo; Documental II in 2006 crowned the pair as “Chosen Few All Stars,” while La Calle Vol. I teamed the two with Arcangel on the track “Agresivo.”
In 2006, the duo was featured in the song “Siente El Boom”, alongside song writer Tito “El Bambino”. The song was featured on Tito’s Top of The Line album. In 2007 they joined with other band members, Guelo Star, Maximan, and J-King, to form their new band Casa De Leones. And now the Jowell Y Randy are Los Mas Sueltos Del Reggaeton.
