YouTube is throwing down OntheRise Rap Edition, a contest to discover the best rap and hip-hop artists in the U.S.

Get ready to submit your original verses, beats and rhymes next month, from August 10 through August 17. Hip-hop stars 50 Cent, Common and Polow da Don will choose 20 finalists, and you’ll get to pick the winner, who will be awarded a singles deal with Interscope and G-Unit Records, as well as a $10,000 gift card from Guitar Center and their video featured on the homepage.

Each video entry must include a full, original song that is five minutes or less, and you must be 18 years or older and a U.S. resident to participate. For the official details, click here.
